About Us
The Maturis Story
Our journey began in early 2022, when Ewa, our founder, got involved in managing a cocoa farm in southwestern Nigeria together with a local partner. What initially started as a hobby and small-side project gradually evolved into a deeper exploration of agricultural production, sourcing, and supply chains.
Through this experience, combined with her background as a process engineer in the food processing industry, it became increasingly clear that many challenges within global supply chains originate long before products reach international markets. Producers often struggle to access markets at fair and sustainable prices, while issues such as product spoilage, inconsistent quality, and limited processing capacity can prevent products from meeting international requirements. At the same time, buyers frequently face difficulties accessing reliable products and struggle with traceability beyond the product's arrival at the plant gate.
These experiences ultimately led to founding Maturis in May 2025. Through close collaboration with producers and processing partners, we recognised a strong willingness and potential to scale production systems, improve quality standards, and build more transparent and market-ready supply chains.
Today, Maturis aims to help bridge this gap by connecting origin markets with international demand through responsible sourcing, operational efficiency, traceability, and long-term partnerships.
